Watford City 78, Mandaree 38
A young Mandaree team was no match for Watford City last Tuesday as the Wolves crushed the Warriors, 78-38, in District 15 action.
Watford City used a press and trapping defense to jump out to a decisive 37-7 first-quarter lead as the Wolves were en route to the easy win.
“Our starters got a lot done in a limited amount of playing time,” stated John Zenz, Wolves’ head coach.
With the win securely in hand, Zenz’s bench players took over and played the majority of the game.
Watford City led the Warriors, 53-21, at halftime and by 40 points, 66-26, at the end of three quarters of play.

For the game, the Wolves shot 38 percent from the field, hitting on 24 of 64 attempts and were good on only four of 14 attempts at the charity stripe.
