Watford City cross country fans will get to see their runners in action at home next Tuesday as the Wolves will host a cross country meet at the Fox Hills Golf Course. The meet will start at 4:15 p.m. with the varsity girls teams starting the competition, followed by the varsity boys, elementary, junior high girls and junior high boys.
This past week, the Wolves competed in the Becki Wells Invitational in Dickinson.
“I feel the athletes are progressing along nicely,” stated Greg Brown, Wolves’ head coach. “We went to Dickinson and competed well on the course that will be the State Meet course at the end of October. I feel that we are seeing a lot of heart from our athletes to run the practices that we have been running and then turning around and competing so hard at the meets. If the athletes keep up this work ethic, good things will happen at the end of October.”
