The 2013 NDRA Championship Finals lived up to its billing as one of the nation’s top rodeo events when the state’s top cowboys and cowgirls converged on Watford City on Sept. 13 and 14 to see who would emerge as the state’s best.
And when the dust finally settled, Watford City’s Samantha Jorgenson walked away with championship titles and saddles as the 2013 Breakaway Roping and the 2013 Women’s All Around titles.
Also named as the top cowboys and cowgirls for 2013 in the North Dakota Rodeo Association was Blake Smith, Zap, bareback riding; Jon Peek, Williston, Calf Roping; Dalton Rixen, Dickinson, Saddle Bronc Riding; Scott Kleemann, Killdeer, Steer Wrestling; Lexus Kelsch, McLaughlin, S.D., Ladies Barrel Racing; Cole  Spurgeon, Dallas, Texas, Team Roping Header; Sloan Henley, Abeline, Texas, Team Roping Heeler; Bob Burk, Sundance, Wyo., Senior Men’s Breakaway Roping; David Feickert, Berthold, Bull Riding; J.B.
