Spikers sweep Trinity Christian

Watford City picked up a three-game win over Trinity Christian last Monday before falling to Trenton in three games on Thursday. The Wolves then wrapped up the week’s schedule at the the Beach Tournament on Saturday.
This week the Wolves will host Dickinson Trinity on Wednesday  at 5 p.m.

Watford City 3, Trinity Christian 0
Watford City swept Trinity Christian in three quick games last Monday as the Wolves defeated the Crusaders by scores of 25-16, 25-10 and 25-13.
Katie Mogen led the Wolves with 10 kills and two blocks, while Kara Langerud had six service aces.

Watford City definitely had an off game on Thursday as the Wolves fell to Trenton in three games by scores of 25-21, 25-17 and 25-17.
“It was a tough match for us,” sates Brad Foss, Wolves’ head coach. “We made too many hitting, passing and serving errors and they played very well.”
Ricki Lindley led the Wolves with nine kills and 11 digs in the game.

Beach Tournament
Watford City struggled to find an offensive rhythm at the Beach Tournament on Saturday. The Wolves split their first pool play match to Richardton-Taylor with the Raiders taking the first game, 20-12, before Watford City battled back to take the second game, 20-8. The Wolves then swept Bowman in two games, 20-14, and 20-10, before splitting with Flasher in the third game of pool play.
In tournament action, the Wolves fell to Wibaux, 25-21 and 25-18.
Katie Mogen led the Wolves offensively in the tournament with 21 kills and 12 blocks, while Tarynn Jacobson had nine service aces.
