Wolves devour Bison

Shawn Fulwider poured in a game-high 23 points as the Watford City boys basketball team devoured the Hazen Bison, 75-33, on Dec. 21.
With the win, Watford City improved its season record to 3-2.
Watford City’s next action will be on Jan. 6, when the Wolves host Killdeer.

Behind a tenacious defense that completely stymied Hazen’s offense, the Wolves exploded to a 25-10 first- quarter lead, and never looked back as Watford City held the Bison to single digit scoring in the final three quarters of play.
Four Watford City players scored in double figures for Watford City with Nick Liebel following Fulwider in scoring with 19 points, while Trey Jacobson and Curtis Lohse ended the game with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Watford City led Hazen 41-18 at halftime and posted scoring advantages of 15-7 and 19-8 in the final two stanzas en route to the win.
Rounding out the scoring for Watford City was Tyler Flatland with five points, Tyler Bates with three points and Jason Shipman with two points.
