Audrey Baney

Audrey Baney, 59, of Watford City, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston, N.D., surrounded by her family.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at the First Lutheran Church in Watford City. Pastor Rob Favorite will officiate and interment will be in the Schafer Cemetery, Watford City.
Audrey was born Sept. 21, 1952, in Cando, N.D., the daughter of Jim and Toots (Damberger) Jacobson. She grew up in Cut Bank, Mont., attended  school and graduated from Cut Bank High School.
She was united in marriage to Dick Baney on Aug. 9, 1969, at the Lutheran Church in Sidney, Mont. They made their home in Cut Bank, Mont., where they raised their family. They had two daughters, Melessia and Connie. In May of 1985, the family moved to Watford City, N.D., where Audrey worked for numerous restaurants. She was known as one of the best cooks in town.
Audrey was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Cut Bank, Mont., and Watford City, N.D. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play hockey, football, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics and figure skating. Her favorite team was the Watford City Oilers. Audrey and Dick just celebrated their 43rd anniversary; they enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren.
She liked to keep current by reading the “National Enquirer, Star, and Country Weekly.” She always said everything she read in those magazines was the gospel truth. Audrey enjoyed baking cakes, putting on dinners for her family and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Dick Baney; two daughters and families, Missy (Lenny) Tyler and Trevor, Connie (Scott) Ashley, Reid, Kalden and Lane; three brothers, Greg and Daniel Jacobson, of Powell, Wyo., and Robert (NanC) Jacobson, of Cut Bank, Mont.; her sister-in-law that she always loved liked a sister, Sheila Baney, of Cut Bank, Mont.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Toots Jacobson; in-laws, Hiram and Charlotte Baney; brothers-in-law, Harold and Stan Baney, and her sister-in-law, Linda Jacobson.
Friends may call at the Fulkerson Funeral Home in Watford City on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until noon and at the church one hour prior to services.
