William Lillibridge

William “Bill” Claus Lillibridge, 71, died on Sunday evening, April 19, 2015, at Trinity Hospital in Minot, N.D. Bill was born on Sept. 29, 1943, to Lester Augustus Lillibridge and Fern Lila Koeser. Bill attended Lookout School for 1st through 8th grade, and attended Mandaree High School where he graduated in 1962. He then attended Wahpeton State School of Science where he received his degree in Auto Body Mechanics.
In May of 1967, Bill was drafted into the Army where he served in Vietnam as an Army Med Specialist. He served with the 8th Infantry Division 6th Field Artillery as a part of “The Big Red One.” He was flown home via medevac in 1967 and Honorably Discharged in 1971 receiving a Purple Heart for injuries received in battle.
On Feb. 10, 1968, Bill married Marilyn Marie Stoner. Together they had three children; Brent, Marilee and Torrie.
Bill loved to hay and would spend sun up to sun down or longer haying. He also loved his small herd of Red Angus cattle and was very proud of them. He enjoyed visiting with anyone, especially if it could be about his favorite things; haying, tractors, cars, his children, and especially, his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn; son, Brent (Wanda) Lillibridge; daughters, Marilee Lillibridge and Torrie (Hugh) Adams; one uncle Raymond (Clara) Koeser;  brothers, LeRoy (Sherryll) Lillibridge and Wesley (Leita) Lillibridge; sister, Jean Frase; grandchildren, Nickolas, Jacob, Lilli and Annamae Adams, Devin Shoemaker, Zachary and Naomi Rice, Chandra, Madison, Abby Brown and Cambree Hovland. And equally close to his heart, Kelby, Caleb, Rachel, and John Timmons, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Elizabeth; a premature infant grandson, JayLyn; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for William “Bill” Lillibridge, 71, of Watford City, N.D., were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015, at the Assembly of God Church in Watford City, N.D., with Pastor Adrian Timmons officiating. Interment was in Johnson Corners Cemetery, Keene, N.D., under the direction of Fulkerson Funeral Home of Watford City. Visitation was 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Fulkerson Memorial Chapel in Watford City, N.D., and one hour prior to the service Monday at the Assembly of God Church.
