Alice Skorpil

Alice (DeRudder) Skorpil, 99, a longtime resident of Cartwright, N.D., passed away Friday morning, November 21, 2014, at the Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston, N.D., just three and one half months before her 100th birthday.

On September 28, 1935, she was united in marriage to Raymond Skorpil at St. Joseph’s Church in Cartwright , N.D. The couple had two children, Dennis and Janet. This is the fourth generation to ranch.
Alice and Raymond spent the following seventeen winter seasons at their Mesa, Ariz., winter home, and their summers back at the farm, until 1989 when they made Williston their home.
Alice was a very active volunteer until recent years. She also enjoyed playing cards, games and gardening. She loved her family dearly, and truly relished visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
