Devin Cleburne never dreamed that she would spend thousands of dollars in veterinary bills on a cat that wasn’t hers.
But Cleburne not only paid the expenses of having the cat’s leg amputated, she decided to make the three-legged feline a part of her family.
Cleburne’s journey to become a feline rescue hero began on Oct. 3, when she heard a shrill sound pierce the air at Pizza Pie on the Fly.
“This guy came into the shop all frantic, asking who owned a certain vehicle in the parking lot,” says Cleburne, who manages Pizza Pie on the Fly.
As Cleburne paused for an answer, the man scurried back out the door. Not one to put her nose where it doesn’t belong, Cleburne shrugged it off.
