When Dr. Gary Ramage moved his wife and their newborn baby girl from Canada to Watford City in 1992, there was a small population of 1,200 residents and the economy was in the midst of an economic downturn.
At the time, Dr. Ramage planned to stay in Watford City for just a couple of years as he had plans to further extend his knowledge through working the medical field of McKenzie County.
Over the subsequent years, Dr. Ramage developed a prosperous practice that was geared toward the senior community where he garnished a reputation as a reputable and approachable physician.
And on Friday, Oct. 4, Dr. Ramage was recognized for his devotion to his patients and his medical skills by being presented with the 2019 Physician Community and Professional Services Award at the North Dakota Medical Association conference in West Fargo.
