Alfred Berdahl

Alfred Ray Berdahl, 68, of Watford City, N.D., passed away unexpectedly July 28, 2018, at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, N.D.
Alfred was born April 2, 1950, in Forsyth, Mont., to Albert Berdahl and Anna Berdahl (Krause).
At 16 years old, Alfred met his soul mate and later married his sweetheart and love of his life, Carlotta. Together they celebrated what would have been 48 years of happiness this October. Alfred began working in the Oilfield when he was 18 years old as a Roughneck. He went to college and Roughnecked at the same time, eventually giving up college for the oilfield. His tenure, knowledge and expertise in the oil and gas industry led him to his current employment as a Consultant most recently working with Northern Plains Consulting Group for Whiting Oil and Gas of Watford City, until his untimely departure from this World.
Alfred had a passion for hunting, ice fishing, fishing, golfing with his “boys” who were his true best friends. He also enjoyed Harley’s and his love for the game of Farkle. He always proclaimed to have 3 women in his life. These women were his wife, Carlotta, his mother-in-law, Lorraine Baye and Linda Baye. Alfred had a kind spirit and would do anything for anyone, even if it meant driving across town to empty a mouse trap in the middle of the night, or going to fix a garage door. He never knew a stranger and was the true meaning of what a kind-loving soul should be.
Al is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Berdahl; and by his father-in-law, Pat Baye.
Left behind to treasure his loving memory is his wife, Carlotta Berdahl; sons, Cody Berdahl (JoLeen) of Watford City and Pat Berdahl (Kori) of Watford City; grandchildren, Kash, Baylei and Justice Berdahl; sisters, Gloria Singleton of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Linda Berdahl of Minot; 2 special nephews to whom he helped raise and taught to fish and hunt, Ryan and Brandon Kieson.
Al also had a special place in his heart for brother-in-law, Kirk Baye and his wife Barb whom they enjoyed many Mexican vacations and brother-in-law, Wayne and Liz Baye, who they had much history and love.
A Celebration of his Life was held Friday, August 3, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Watford City with Pastor Jamie Norstog presiding.
