Betty Lovaas

Betty Lou Lovaas, 72, of Yellville, Ark., passed away in Snow Community at her home on Nov. 14, 2011. Cremation was handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Ark. There will be a memorial service on June 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. CDT, at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in New Town, N.D. A graveside burial service will follow at Van Hook Cemetary. After the burial service, there will be a celebration of life luncheon at the Van Hook Arm Sheltered Picnic Area for Betty Lou Lovaas and Geraldine Rose Bishop who passed away on Aug. 5, 2011. All friends and relatives are welcome to come celebrate the day with the families of Betty and Geraldine.
Betty was born March 7, 1939, in Mountrail County, N.D.,  to Maynard and Louise (Vorderbruggen) Uran.
Betty is survived by her husband, of 55 years, Robert Lovaas; her daughter Renee (Freddy) Nichols, of Rogers, Ark.; her three sons, Daryl (Lori) Lovaas, of Atlanta, Ga., Bradley (Elaine) Lovaas, of Brookland, Texas, Carey (Teri) Lovaas, of Harrison, Ark.; two sisters, Roberta (Don) Elmstrand, of North Branch, Minn., Jeannie (Myron) Brown, of Dickinson, N.D.; and seven brothers, Richard (Sandra) Uran of Willow City, N.D., Garry Uran of Fallon, Nev., Keith Uran, of New Town, N.D., Dan Uran, of New Town, N.D., Chester (Carla) Uran, of Alamosa, Colo., Dennis (Ginger), of Gillette, Wyo. and Wade (Karla) Uran, of Casper, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Betty was proceeded in death by her parents; five sisters, Corrine, Connie, Kandice, Marie and Geraldine; one brother, Roy, and a great- granddaughter.
