Connie Reimann

Connie (Calkins) Reimann, age 65, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at her home in Watford City.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Watford City with Pastor Bill Edwards officiating. Burial of her cremains will take place in the spring at Garden Cemetery in rural Watford City, N.D.
Connie was born Dec. 10, 1945, in Watford City, N.D., to Asy W. and Gladys (Maloney) Calkins. She attended Divide Grade School, northeast of Watford City, and later attending Public School in Watford City.
 Connie was united in marriage to Roger Reimann on July 1, 1961, at Watford City. They resided in Lambert, Mont., first after their marriage. They also lived in Sidney and Glendive, Mont., and Walla Walla, Wash. With their family, they also lived in Seattle, Wash., and Portland, Ore., where she worked as a surgery tech while studying for her RN degree. She had the opportunity to work with a neurosurgeon, who later performed her surgery after her brain aneurism. Later, she moved back to Watford City where she resided the remainder of her life.
Connie enjoyed playing cards, darts and especially family gatherings. She enjoyed visiting with the community gathering news for the McKenzie County Farmer newspaper.
She is survived by her son, Todd, Ola, Ark.; brothers, Eugene, Palmer, Alaska; Everette (Lonnie), Riverton, Wyo., and Arnold, Killdeer, N.D.; sisters, Jessie Mikkelson, Minot, N.D., Madeline Miller, Watford City, N.D., Francis Paslay, Glendive, Mont., Oma (Paul) Hebert, Larimore, N.D., and MaryAnn (Dan) Jay Gilbert, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Neil Knight; sisters-in-law, Lillian Calkins and Virginia Calkins; and many nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her son, Brad; her parents; three brothers, Wallace, Darwin and Lloyd Calkins; and two sisters, Donna Olson and Etheleen Knight.
