Darryl A. Murray

Darryl Murray, 35, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, near Killdeer, N.D.
Darryl was born May 6, 1980 in Ft. McClellan, Ala., the son of Albert Murray Jr. and Jessie (Vernon) Murray-Bearden. He grew up in Oxford, Ala. graduating from Oxford High School with the class of 1998.  After high school, Darryl worked as a landscaper in Oxford before spending some time in Nevada. Darryl eventually moved to North Dakota where he has made his home ever since.  
While working near Alexander, N.D., Darryl met the love of his life, Kristie Heggen. The two were united in marriage on, July 12, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alexander, N.D. The couple made their home in South Heart, N.D.
Darryl and Kristie are blessed with two beautiful girls, Laila and Emma.He worked for Nabors Drilling, BOE and Pale Horse.
Darryl loved visiting with family and friends. He always made others smile and did what he could to brighten their days. Darryl was an avid NASCAR fan and looked forward to watching his beloved Auburn Tigers. Darryl was the best Daddy any two little girls could ever ask for and cherished the time he spent with them, especially at the lake with them.  
Darryl is survived by his wife, Kristie Murray of South Heart, N.D.; daughters, Laila Anne and Emma Marie Murray of South Heart, N.D.; father, Al (Leslie) Murray, Jr. of Gadsden, Ala.; mother, Jessie (Bobbie) Murray-Bearden of Oxford, Ala.; brother, Donald (Kim) Murray of Mobile, Ala.; sister, Dawn (Jeff) Murray Carl of Ballantine, Mont.; step-brothers, Brandon and Michael Murray; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nels and Stephenie Heggen of Alexander, N.D.; sisters-in-law, Jen (Jamie) Blumhagen of Bismarck, N.D., and Jess (Roy Hamilton) Heggen of Rawson, N.D.; nieces and nephews, Cheyanne and Jayson Carl, Madison, Darby and Abigail Murray; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Darryl were held at 2 p.m. CDT, Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in Watford City, N.D. Pastor Dan Paulson officiated.
A visitation for Darryl was held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. MDT, Thursday, Aug. 20 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, N.D. with a prayer service held at 6 p.m. MDT.
