Haugberg named to Class B All State cage second team

McKayla Haugeberg, who helped guide the 2012-2103 Watford City Wolves girls basketball team to a 20-4 season record and to runners-up finishes at the District 15 and Region 8 Tournaments, has been selected to the Class B All State girls basketball second team.
Haugeberg, a 5’7” senior guard averaged 15.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 5.8 steals for the Wolves this season. A Second Team All State selection last year, Haugeberg finished her career with more than 1,000 points and was the District 15 and the Region 8 Senior Athlete of the Year.
Named to the Class B All State First Team was Hannah Stewart, Bishop Ryan; Ashley Bentz, Grant County; Hannah Breske, Central Cass; Taylor Henningsgard, Hillsboro-Central Valley; and Fallyn Freije, Lakota-Adams-Edmore.
In addition to Haugeberg, players named to the Second Team were Rylee Nudell, Maple Valley:  Cassie Thompson, Grafton; Karleigh Weber, Thompson; Sheridon Dewald, Napoleon; Kendra Weigel, Napoleon;  Ashtin Freije, Lakota-Adams-Edmore; Hailee Farstveet, Beach;  Gabbie Bohl, Bishop Ryan; Anika Rovig, Bishop Ryan; and Sara Schwanke, Benson County.
