The Watford City American Legion baseball team dropped their first two games at the State American Legion Baseball Tournament in Bottineau last week and were eliminated from further play.
“The kids played two very competitive ball games,” stated Pat Spacher, head coach. “We didn’t have very many breaks go our way. But overall, they played pretty well. It was a very good season and I am pleased and proud that we were able to get back to State.”
The Walleye opened the tournament losing to Velva, 4-3, and then were eliminated from the tournament with an 8-5 loss to Washburn.
