Wolves down DL-B, fall to Minot Ryan

Watford City definitely had its bats going last Tuesday as the Wolves swept Des Lacs/Burlington 10-0 and 11-1 in high school baseball action.
In the first game, Kevin Sanford picked up the win on the mound for the Wolves striking out eight batters while walking four batters.
Sanford also was solid at the plate going three for three with four runs batted in. Trey Jacobson and Christian Schulz each scored three runs for the Wolves in the win.
In the second game, Douglas Rolfson picked up the win for the Wolves as he struck out eight batters while giving up just three walks.
At the plate Trey Jacobson was three for four, while Kevin Sanford had a grand slam home run.

Wolves drop pair to Minot Ryan
Watford City dropped a pair of close games, 5-4 and 2-1, to Minot Ryan on Thursday on a miserable day for baseball.
In the first game, the Lions jumped out to a 4-1 lead at the end of the first inning and then held off a charge by the Wolves to take the 5-4 win.
James Neer picked up the loss on the mound for Watford City.
In the second game of the day, Christian Schulz picked up the loss for Watford City in spite of pitching a one-hit game.
