It’s that time of year when youngsters and families are starting to make their Fourth of July plans. And for most of us, the Fourth of July just wouldn’t be the same unless we can fill the sky with all sorts of fireworks.
But this year, like last year, extreme drought conditions around McKenzie County could make the discharge of fireworks less likely to occur. Last year, the McKenzie County commissioners had prohibited the discharge of fireworks and the city of Watford City banned the sale of them due to dry conditions.
