AS I SEE IT

Is America choosing a path too rapid in its rush to move the country from fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and natural gas, to more “green energy” sources, such as wind and solar?
If one looks at what is happening in Europe and around the world, the answer may be, “yes.”
Many European countries embraced the shift from coal to wind and solar as they decommissioned the coal plants and shut down the nuclear facilities that had provided them with the affordable electricity that they needed.
But now, Europe is facing a potential crisis this winter due to the damaging effects of their “green energy” policies. After years of relying on cheap Russian natural gas while pursing carbon neutrality, the continent is now facing a shortage of natural gas, record high energy costs, as well as the distinct reality that they will be seeing energy rationing.
