WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND

For over 40 years I’ve done a daily Talkradio show that provides me a platform to take a stand on thorny issues and share my opinions on everything from politics to the news of the day. It’s called being “In the Arena” as the great Teddy Roosevelt encouraged us all to be. I love it!
I have written before about how I enjoy hearing from people who disagree with my opinions. I don’t mince words when I speak my mind and I enjoy feedback from readers or listeners who do the same. I honestly don’t even mind nasty grams that come from cranky critics who typically reveal a window into their character by adding some vitriol to their rebuttal.
We live in interesting times. Never I have seen this kind of crazy, deranged and vile hatred thrust upon people just because they think differently.
I wrote recently about critics of President Trump’s campaign promise to end the failed experiment of a U.S. Department of Education. His plan includes similar funding levels sent directly back to state government to fund local priorities.
I obviously touched a nerve as you’ll see in some of the responses here.
Sue Wallace Roehl: “The least intelligent man on radio is talking about education? Seriously? That’s hilarious.” MJ Kae
MJ Kae: “The religious zealot, cult sycophant supports everything his convicted felon cult leader says or does. Objectivity doesn’t exist inside this clown.”
Tim Williams: “Mr. Hennen is ignorantly programmed exactly as his party would have him. Spewing out partial information and ideas that follow along with the continually misinformed.
Kayla Christine: “He’s such a waste of whatever teacher’s time was spent on him as a child.”
Wayne Sander: “Some days I think about subscribing to The Forum so I can read all of your stories. But then a Scott Hennen story shows on my feed and reminds me of what’s really behind your paywall so I don’t.”
Poor Wayne should spend a few bucks and support local journalism and the free exchange of ideas. He’d be smarter for it.
The majority of reactions are mostly negative and nasty (which seems to be the modus operandi of the angry left these days...just ask Trump and Elon Musk). However I’m always heartened by many others who offer wise and thoughtful responses. Patricia Kukert wrote:
“Did the Globalists plan decades ago to slowly destroy our school systems from within our country to spread the propaganda that is so prevalent in our country? Much of the education, family, religion, government, media, arts and entertainment and the economy of our society have been headed by evil for decades. I believe they have been funded by George Soros and other Globalists for many years. President Trump is fighting their agenda and that’s why they hate him so much.”
