I had the privilege this past week of broadcasting my radio show from the White House, where I sat down with Chief Mike Banks of the U.S. Border Patrol. After a decade of service in the U.S. Navy, Banks has been on the front lines of border security for over 25 years. What he told me about the Trump administration’s success on border security should be front-page news. Sadly, most media outlets would rather ignore it.
Banks shared two numbers that ought to stop every American in their tracks. “Zero,” he said, is the number of illegal border crossers the U.S. Border Patrol has released into the country during the last four months. Zero. That’s unheard of in recent history. The second number is even more staggering: “About 150.” That’s the average number of people attempting to cross illegally each day under Trump’s leadership. Compare that to “10,000 a day” during the Biden years. Let that sink in. From thousands daily to just a few hundred - without one change to law, and not a single extra dime from Congress.
