Editor’s Note: The Farmer has been inundated with questions from the community in regard to the amount of felonious crimes in McKenzie County.
We heard our readers questions and concerns and have taken a deep dive into the North Dakota Public Records database and compiled a factual comparison of the amount of felony arrests in 2023 and 2024. Below is the first in a continuing series of the statistics, along with explanation of various sentencing questions that have been brought forth.
January 2023 Case Breakdown
Sixteen defendants were charged with a combined 20 Class C and 9 Class B felonies in the first month of 2023.
