LeRoy Lillibridge, the dedicated president and nearly 30-year member of the McKenzie County Heritage Association, has been a cornerstone of preserving the county’s rich history. His passion and tireless efforts have transformed the museum into a vibrant hub of local heritage.
During a recent interview with KTGO Radio (AM 1090 / FM92.7) “What’s on Your Mind” Radio Host Scott Hennen, Lillibridge stated “It’s been quite a journey.”
“We started with just a schoolhouse and a few volunteers, and now we have a thriving museum that tells the story of our community.” Lillibridge’s involvement began in 1994, when he joined the board to save the historic William School. His dedication quickly led him to take on leadership roles, spearheading fundraising efforts, acquiring and restoring historic buildings, and organizing the facility’s annual Heritage Day event.
