On Thursday, June 6, there was a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 23 between Keene and New Town.
The incident involved three vehicles and caused serious injuries to multiple parties.
The incident began when a 1969 Ford Mustang, with its turn signal activated, was stopped, facing west, waiting to turn left onto a gravel road. A 2022 F-150 was travelling east, in the oncoming lane, causing the mustang to wait for it to pass.
While waiting, the mustang was struck from behind by a 2005 Nissan Murano, travelling west. The force of the impact caused the Mustang to cross the eastbound lane and come to rest in the ditch along the north side of the highway.
