April brings new hunting and fishing

When it comes to enjoying outdoor recreation, specifically for hunting and fishing, everyone can agree that there’s a lot to do. But what matters is doing it safely.
“April 1 is actually the first day of the new year for hunting and fishing and trapping licenses, so we like to spread the word,” said Connor Folkers, North Dakota Game and Fish district game warden.
While venturing outdoors for some hunting or fishing fun is all good and dandy, many could agree that if there’s anything that history has taught us, it’s that letting your guard down can be dangerous, even deadly.
“Sometimes it’s just using common sense with your firearm and knowing what it’s capable of doing,” Folkers says.
