Bakken Area Skills Center to start classes on Jan. 15

The Bakken Area Skills Center (BASC) is nearly complete according to McKenzie County Public School District No. 1 (MCPSD1) Superintendent Steve Holen. Last week he told The Farmer that they expected to receive the Certificate of Occupancy on Dec. 22.
“The week of Dec. 25, the school district will begin the installation of furniture and equipment and continue a process of punch list items and substantial completion. The BASC will be ready for students on January 15th [at which time] the school district will host classes in the facility at the start of the second semester,” Holen explained.
