City, county taxable sales up 9 percent in second quarter

With oil prices rebounding and increased drilling activity in western North Dakota, the state’s taxable sales and purchases are showing continued improvement, according to the latest data from the North Dakota Tax Department.
According to Brian Kroshus, state tax commissioner, North Dakota’s taxable sales and purchases for the second quarter of 2022 are up 11.5 percent compared to the same timeframe in 2021. Taxable sales and purchases for April, May and June of 2022 were $5.9 billion.
