U.S Senator Kevin Cramer is not publicly supporting Donald Trump to be the Republican party’s nominee for president in 2024.
Cramer made the comments while appearing on the “What’s on Your Mind” radio program on KTGO The Flag (Tioga). Asked who he would support for the Republican nomination, Cramer did not specifically name one candidate.
“I don’t have a pick yet. I kind of want to see who all gets into it. I’d like to see us have about five or six good candidates and have some really good debates.”
Cramer, while in the U.S. House of Representatives, was one of Trump’s early supporters in the 2016 presidential campaign, which he eventually won, and the two have enjoyed a cordial relationship. Cramer credits a phone call from Trump for convincing him to run for the U.S. Senate in 2018. Trump has already announced that he will run for President next year.
