District 26 Repubicans fill vacant seat

The District 26 Republicans selected Kelby Timmons of Watford City, N.D., to replace Rep. Jeremy Olson, who resigned on May 5, 2025.
Timmons previously held a seat alonside Olson in 2022, and narrowly lost his seat in the 2024 election.
District 26 Republican Executive Committee member Gretchen Stenehjem, told The Farmer that following Olson's resignation, the committee had 21 days to select a replacement and on Saturday, May 24, the committee unanimously voted Timmons to fill the vacancy.
