Fatal vehicle rollover in McKenzie County

On Sunday, Aug. 4, at approximately 12:05 a.m., a 1998 Honda VF2 Motorcycle was traveling westbound on Hwy. 23, approximately 20 miles west of New Town.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol new release, the 55 year-old driver of the Honda, from Watford City, lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. The driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
He was pronounced deceased on the scene. At the time of press, the name of the driver had not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Agencies who assisted the N.D. Highway Patrol were the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, Three Affiliated Tribes Police Dept., the Keene Rural Fire Dept. and McKenzie County Ambulance Service.
The crash remains under investigation by the N.D. Highway Patrol.
