Final day of MSS packed with art, exhibits and speakers

The final day of the 2024 Main Street Summit is scheduled to begin with a continental breakfast from 8-9:15 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 29.
8-9:15 a.m. An Artists’ Conversation (NDCA). Facilitated by Teva Dawson, featuring artists of Arts Across the Prairie: Public Art and Statewide Placemaking will be held in the Rough Rider Center (RRC) Ballroom I.
In the RRC Ballroom II from 8-9:15 a.m. will be a breakfast workshop led by Nick Smoot. The topic - City Building as a Game: How to Design and Measure Flourishing Cities, a Sponsor Exhibits will be open from 8 a.m. to noon in the lower level of the RRC, along with a Art Show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Miss Shannan Paul and Commerce will be conducting Thursday’s Welcome, followed by keynote speaker Eric Termuende, who will be speaking on Building Tomorrow’s Greatest Places to Work from 10-11 a.m.
From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Summit attendees have the opportunity to participate in the Regional Prosperity Farm to Fork Lunch and Learn Panel, moderated by Vawnita Best on the Main Stage.
Best says the panel will share stories that lift agriculture and entrepreneurship through this years theme.
“We will have the recently appointed CEO and President of the Bank of North Dakota, Don Morgan, and the state Tourism Director, Sara Otte Coleman, who will talk about agri-tourism initiatives and how producers can get involved,” stated Best.
Best said the founder of Strengthen ND, Megan Langley, will also be on the panel to share her knowledge on growing and building rural communities.
