First day of Spring arrives on Saturday

While the first day of Spring officially arrives on Saturday, March 20, the unseasonably warm temperatures for the past month would have made many wonder if it hadn’t arrived much earlier.
This past week, McKenzie County residents saw daytime high temperatures peak out in the lower 60s. And those warm temperatures are going to hang around this week as the National Weather Service is calling for dry conditions with daytime highs in the lower 50s to mid-60s.
The forecast for Wednesday is calling for partly sunny skies with a daytime high near 45 degrees and winds from the east at five to eight mph.
