FOP Cops and Kids Christmas ready to spread some joy

After a successful first year in Watford City, the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Cops and Kids Christmas event is back to bless the lives of the children of Watford City.
Organizer of the event, Kari Stuart, explained that while this is only the second year the organization has put something like this together, it was such a beneficial experience for everyone who participated last year, they have all been excited to do it again this year.
“We have an application process where people can nominate a family in need or a family that is experiencing financial hardship, or if they are just in need of support for the holidays. We have families that are nominated from anonymous nominators, the schools, and even business owners,” she explained. “Most families are sponsored through the application process we have or through the local schools or local business owners. The families nominated are usually going through financial hardship or don’t have the means to provide a Christmas every parent wants their kids to have.”
