Headlining the entertainment for Ribfest this year is the world-famous cover band Hairball on Friday, August 11.
In an interview with the Farmer, Dave Moody, one of the lead singers and guitarists for the band, said these are the kinds of performances that make his blood flow and remind him about the magic and passion he has for “preaching the religion of rock and roll to the new generations.”
“It isn’t about connecting with one age group for us, that isn’t what we are about,” Moody said. “We want to touch the hearts and souls of not just the grandfathers, or dads, or sons, or grandsons, but we want to reach out to the grandmas, moms, daughters, granddaughters, and anyone else, and share the power and passion this music has for each of us.”
Moody explained that he has known rock and roll was his calling since he was about six years old, and he has been focused on the music he loves for over 35 years.
