Have you ever driven through the badlands of western North Dakota  and thought, this looks like a place where dinosaurs would roam?
Well, this weekend parents can have fun with the idea by giving their child(ren) the opportunity to participate in a Dino Dig on Saturday, June 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the McKenzie County Heritage Park. The kids participating are sure to have a fun-filled morning digging their hands in some nitty-gritty sand, finding fossils and listening to stories.
“This year I’ve got hundreds of toys and I wrap them all up and just before the dig we bury them,” says Sandy Rieker, who originated Dino Digs four years ago. “The kids just love it.”
