Latest tax data shows local economic improvement

The first quarter taxable sales and purchases report was released on Wednesday, June 28, showing economic growth in nearly every sector of the state’s economy.
State officials say the new taxable sales and purchases numbers indicate a growing economy, especially the numbers seen in the oil and mining sector and the wholesale trade sector.
