Local businesses weigh in on inflation’s impact

While local businesses are well aware of the gauged pricing, two members of the community of Watford City, a business manager and business owner, weigh in on the matter. Watford City businesses continue to battle rising prices as 2023 moves into its second month.
“Every year, I have price increases from my distributors. Tobacco companies increase every quarter, whereas my other products typically go up at the end of each year,” says Stephanie Damron, Lund Oil’s OneStop site manager.
“I usually finish my annual price increases by the second week of January, but because every single item in my store increased, I literally just finished last week.
