A crash on McKenzie County Road 10 on December 4, 2025, would have otherwise been fatal or had very serious injuries for two local teens involved in a rollover crash late last year.

Brielle Hance, 14, and Asher Hance, 16, at the time of the crash, were recognized for their life saving decisions of wearing seatbelts at a ceremony held March 3rd by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, VisionZero, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, and Watford City Police Department at the county’s law enforcement center.

Both attend Watford City High School and in October during a Vision Zero ND event at school signed a pledge to always buckle up when riding in a vehicle.
