McKenzie County Community Coalition is taking proactive efforts to help the youth

(Editor’s note: This is the first part of a series covering the current initiatives the McKenzie County Community Coalition is taking to promote mental health and wellness for the youth.)

The McKenzie County Community Coalition (MCCC) has been around since 2002, after forming as a preventative effort in response to a string of teen suicides.
While it has been around for more than 20 years, in the last decade, the MCCC has really stepped up its efforts of proactive, preventative strategies to help support the youth with a happy, healthy wellbeing.
“We have so much happening,” says Miranda Samuelson Figaro, McKenzie County Community Coalition grant coordinator, of what the organization is doing in the community.
