New Arnegard mayor hopes to preserve way of life

When a community member is running for the position of mayor, a lot of times, their intent is to change things or implement something new. For Lowell Mosby, Arnegard’s new mayor, it’s to preserve what’s already been established.
“It’s a bed and breakfast community. It’s never going to be a metropolis,” he says. “I want to keep it nice, clean, quiet. There’s not much hustle and bustle around here.”
While the addition of paved roads, curb/gutter and sewer enhancements in recent year certainly gave the town an advantage, Mosby doesn’t deny that some improvements were necessary if the town were to attract new residents.
“Most people have moved here in recent years because we’ve got maintenance - paved streets, sewer and gutters,” he says.
