North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, North Dakota’s Congressional delegation, and the Republican nominee for the United States House, are reacting to President Joe Biden’s decision to end his campaign for reelection.
Biden made the announcement on Sunday on X, and subsequently endorsed current Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States.
“With a little over 100 days until the election, the democrats just forced out their incumbent nominee who received over 14 million votes in the primary. This is just wild,” Congressman Kelly Armstrong, who is the Republican candidate for North Dakota Governor, said. “We cannot let the chaos on the other side distract us from what we need to do. Vice President Harris owns all of the failed policies of President Biden and it is essential that we defeat her in November. It’s time to double our efforts to elect Donald Trump, flip the senate and expand our house majority.”
