VOTING NUMBERS LIGHT FOR STATE PRIMARY
Nearly 120,000 voters cast a ballot statewide in North Dakota’s primary election.
“Just under 20 percent statewide turnout for the June Primary is unfortunately becoming a trend,” Secretary of State Michael Howe told KTGO Radio (Tioga/Watford City) in a statement late on election night. “Anything less than 100 percent turnout is disappointing for me, but we are happy with the administration of the election from our partners at the county level, and look forward to greater turnout in November for the General Election.”
In the 2022 primary election, 106,169 ballots were cast. In the last presidential primary election, 160,144 ballots were cast.
