The North Dakota Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 6, regarding a request for a siting permit for a natural gas pipeline in McKenzie County. The hearing will be held at 10 a.m. at Teddy’s Residential Suites, 113 9th Ave. SE, in Watford City.
Caliber North Dakota LLC is requesting a siting permit for an approximately 2.62-mile long, 8-inch natural gas pipeline. Caliber constructed the pipeline in August 2014, and did not have an issued siting certificate or permit. On Oct. 15, 2021, Caliber submitted a request to the PSC for temporary approval to continue operation of the pipeline and make modifications to facilitate bi-directional flows. The Commission granted temporary authorization to operate and modify the pipeline on Nov. 3, 2021, and ordered Caliber to submit a siting application by Nov. 30, 2021.
