Renovation of North Main is underway

If you’ve passed through North Main lately, you realize there’s a lot of road work happening, making for a rough commute. That’s because eight miles of roadway, all the way from 4th Ave. to 30th Ave., is currently undergoing a total renovation.
“We’re widening the street, putting a bike lane along it and changing some of the parking to parallel instead of diagonal,” says Curt Huus, McKenzie County Engineering Director.
With the expansion of roadway and new feature of 8 foot sidewalks, other work for the project includes the replacement of water and sewer lines, along with curb and gutter and asphalt paving.
