School librarians prepping for National Reading Month

If you have a love for reading, chances are it all began at a library. Even if that’s not the case for students today, local librarian Olivia Dwyer at Badlands Elementary School in Watford City hopes that perhaps one day, it will be.
With the month of March being National Reading Month, Dwyer is one of many librarians currently keeping busy in preparation for it.
“I have fond memories of going to the library and Mrs. Bruins reading to our class,” says Dwyer, of a former librarian that evoked her love of reading.
Reflecting on the days when she and her classmates did a month of “raw reading,” Dwyer says if the whole school participated and read so many books, they were rewarded with an ice cream party.
