Spring break coming to school district’s 2021-22 calendar

Parents who are longing to take their children on a long Spring Break trip are going to love the 2021-22 school calendar that was approved by the McKenzie County Public School District No. 1 school board on Monday, March 8. But for parents who have been used to seeing lots of short school weeks, they may not be as happy.
Under the new calendar, district students will have a full week off of school from March 14 to 18, according to Steve Holen, district superintendent.
“This is the first time in my 16 years as district superintendent that we have had a Spring Break of this length,” states Holen. “We looked at five different calendar options and this was the one that had the most support.”
