Like many of his senior classmates at Watford City High School, Henry Florida has already set his sights on what he would like his career to be.
“I want to go to college and study pre-medicine,” stated Florida as he sat at a computer filling out his college applications on Thursday, Oct. 10. “I want to eventually become a doctor.”
For Florida his first choice of which North Dakota college he would like to attend is the University of North Dakota. But he says that he is also going to be submitting applications to North Dakota State University, Dickinson State University and Bismarck State College.
Like Florida and other Watford City High School seniors, their journey from high school to college officially began last Thursday when they participated in College Application Day by submitting their first round of college applications.
According to Rachel Meuchel, W.C.H.S. guidance counselor, College Application Day is held across North Dakota during the month of October in an attempt to help seniors get a jump start on the process of applying for college
