Teenagers are preferred prey for online scam artists

For people with good intentions,  they usually know their niche and channel that. But for those with bad intentions, so do they and sometimes they do it even better. For an online scam artist, their niche is you, and figuring out what makes you tick so they can take advantage of that.
If you’re like most people, you probably don’t consider yourself as someone that would easily fall prey to an online scam. But there are more ways than one to have an online crime committed against you and it doesn’t start with something as blatant as being asked for your credit or debit card information.
“It doesn’t have to be teenagers or elderly, it can be someone else and they feel stupid. They say, I feel so dumb, I should have known better,” says Brandy Davis, Watford City Police Department detective, of being duped by an online scam.
