Watford City Police responded to an emergency call for help last Sunday morning for what turned out to be a domestic violence and burglary incident.
According to court documents, at approximately 1:18 a.m. Sunday, March 8, a 911 call was placed to the Boulder Ridge Apartments on the city’s west side. The caller stated they could hear a woman yelling at a male subject to “Get out” and that he had broken her finger.
When police arrived on scene, a male subject was observed leaving the apartment in question. Officers confronted the man in a stairwell where he initially stated that he was not involved with anything and refused to identify himself to police. When an officer attempted to detain him, he pulled away, but was ultimately placed into custody and eventually identified as Dylan Chalker, 33, of Watford City. Chalker also notably had the odor of alcohol on his breath and person.
