Watford City will be hosting a two-day summit identifying ways communities and agencies can communicate and collaborate, while offering applicable tools, methods, and insights to assist those affected by human trafficking. The summit, which is being organized by the 31.8 Project, will be held at the Rough Rider Center on June 22 and 23.
The first Bakken Human Trafficking Summit (BHTS) took place in Williston in 2021. This year, the event has expanded to include two days. The public is invited to a free Community Social at the McKenzie County Heritage Park on Wednesday, June 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. During the social, there will be a community panel presentation by local service providers, law enforcement, and survivors of human trafficking.
